1. How to request account deletion
If you can access your Viona account, use the account-deletion control in the app. This is the primary deletion path for authenticated users.
If you cannot access the app or the in-app deletion control is not available to you, email support@viona.one with the subject "Account deletion request".
Include the phone number associated with your Viona account and a clear statement that you want your account deleted. Do not send OTPs, passwords, full payment details, private photos, or highly sensitive information by email unless we specifically ask for it through a secure channel.
2. What happens after deletion
When your account is deleted, Viona deactivates or removes your account from active use, removes your profile from discovery, revokes active sessions, ends active matching access, and deletes profile images from active media storage where technically available.
We may need to verify that the deletion request comes from the account holder before acting on it. If we cannot verify the request, we may ask for additional information or decline the request until verification is possible.
3. Subscriptions must be cancelled separately
Deleting your Viona account does not automatically cancel a weekly or monthly subscription purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play. To stop future billing, cancel the subscription through the store account used for purchase.
- For iOS purchases, manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- For Android purchases, manage or cancel the subscription through your Google Play subscription settings.
4. Records we may retain
Some records may remain for limited periods after account deletion where needed for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, reports, blocks, moderation, audit logs, subscription support, payment records, disputes, backups, or protection of other users.
Verification media and profile photos are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Non-manual-review verification media is generally removed from active media storage after the configured retention window, currently 24 hours. Manual-review verification media may be retained while review is pending and is generally removed 7 days after review.
